Mark your calendars, the Beaver’s Bend Folk Festival & Craft Show is around the corner! One of the biggest events of the year, this folk festival is for anyone and everyone and will feature treats, treasures, and family-fun aplenty! Running from Friday 11/8 to Sunday 11/10, the hours will be 9am-5pm on Friday & Saturday, and 10am-4pm on Sunday.
With a wealth of entertainment options, guests will have a hard time picking what to do and look at first. The Festival is put together and hosted by the Forest Heritage Center & Musuem, take a stop by to see hand crafted paper & books, and hand-spun yarns. The Center is also a great place to get started holiday shopping with homemade quilts and aprons, hand crafted toys, and Oklahoma wine.
The Festival is the perfect place for families with children, as the central courtyard will have something fun for everyone! Children can have an animal encounter at the petting zoo, or personalize their own toy. Older children and adults alike will be amazed at the various live-demonstrations that will be in the courtyard. Come see a blacksmith work on the forge, woodturners working the lathe, and intricate basket weaving.
Music lovers will also be delighted by the Festival, as there will be a trio of bagpipes, fiddles, and banjos that focus on Early American and Celtic music. All music will be played by four of the most talented folk musicians in the country!
