Right smack dab in the heat of summer is the perfect time for a big slice of fun—the Valliant, Okalahoma, Watermelon Fest, July 28-29, 2017.
Bring your family for this annual gala of fun, entertainment, food, and competition. The popular down-home fest draws thousands every year to the town’s City Park where there’s a little something for everyone, and a whole lot of juicy watermelon.
Feel like some good-natured competition? Join the 5-K morning run, a watermelon eating or spitting contest, or horseshoe and checkers tournaments. There are pony rides, bounce houses, and special entertainment for kids. A quilt show, car show, craft demonstration, and other festivities will keep adults happy. And in addition to all that refreshing watermelon, you’ll find vendors dishing up favorite fair foods.
The action begins Friday afternoon and continues through Saturday evening when there will be a concert and a street dance.
