Like so many other beer advocates, Brad Reesing delved into brewing his own beer at home in his kitchen. In 2013 he began producing and selling his brews to local McCurtain County restaurants. By 2016, he made his long-time dream a reality and opened a taproom in Broken Bow, an easy drive for guests at our Beavers Bend Creative Escapes cabins.

Beavers Bend Brewery is located in the Hochatown strip mall that includes Grateful Head Pizza (featured in our September 9th blog) and other popular venues. Step inside the tap room or relax on the patio and enjoy sampling a few of the pours, which cover a range from light and refreshing to dark and rich.

A few of the offerings include Fleucy Creek Pale Ale, a medium-bodied American-style pale ale; Hoppin’ Jalapeno Ale, a popular blond beer that’s surprisingly smooth with a slight kick going down; and a pleasantly hoppy Later Dude IPA. Beavers Bend also brews seasonal beers, such as a Pumpkin Ale that has enticing notes of nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger; and a hearty-flavored winter brew, Bigfoot Brown.
