With a name like Grateful Head Pizza, you know this popular restaurant doesn’t take itself too seriously. Fortunately for diners, it does take its food and beer that way, delivering great tasting pies and refreshing brews to go with them.

Located in Hochatown, Oklahoma, Grateful Head Pizza is convenient to our Beavers Bend cabins, and ideal on those nights when you’d rather let someone else do the cooking. The menu features six signature pizzas, including Pig Pen (named for the Grateful Dead’s original organist, “Pigpen” McKernan), a loaded-up pepperoni feast; Funky Chicken (a popular 1960’s dance) with grilled chicken, spinach and other veggies.; and Tree Hugger, an all-out veggie masterpiece. You can also create your own made-to-order pizza. Cheese sticks, an antipasto-type salad, and chicken wings round out the menu.
Brews are the choice beverage here, and Grateful Head delivers with 20 Oklahoma beers on tap. Regional pours include Beaver’s Bend Brewery Fluency Creek or Red Slough, and CHOC 1919 or OPA.
