It is almost here.  The day of all days to give thanks.  As I sit here pondering what it is that I am most thankful for, the first thing that comes to mind are my family and friends.  Of course, we are all thankful for them.  What kind of person would we be if we weren’t.  I think I will write about the second thing I am most thankful for instead.

I feel very blessed to live in the most beautiful and friendliest place in Oklahoma.  To say that, says a lot.  We are surrounded by forest, that are beautiful with color right now.  We have a georgeous, clear lake (3rd clearest in the Nation, I once read).  The Mountain Fork River is perfect for flyfishing and Kayaking.  What more could a person want?  How about great mountain trails for hiking and biking and Oh yeah, the people.  The people here in the Broken Bow and Beavers Bend area are the best.  You can’t walk down the street or a mountain path and meet someone that you don’t get a huge smile and a “how are you.”  The people are friendly and genuine.

All that being said, I am thankful for my life and my wonderful surroundings.  I can’t think of any place I would rather live.
