Some of them are nice, too. They're just made for two of me and not my style. Until recently, I would have guiltily stuck them in a closet for a couple years, until I felt OK about donating them. Now, however, I'm gathering them together with my collection of curious knick-knacks, expensive, never-worn shoes, old records and so on, and putting them right up on eBay.

Or maybe you're more the physical garage sale type. It's true that people will buy things in person that they wouldn't necessarily bid on electronically. (Dollar-bin items! My favorite.)

But what about the stuff you can't get rid of? (I'm looking at you, giant blue no-brand name sweater.) Don't just toss it - give it to someone who needs it.
