Brooks' Creek is located in the gated community of Timber Creek Trails; minutes away from Broken Bow Lake, Beaver's Bend State Park, and Mountain Fork River. Finished in summer 2011, the cabin was built by Dallas artist Marty Wood (martywoodstudio.com) and wife Monica M. Wood as a getaway for themselves and their not-quite-two-year-old son, Brooks.

The grand structure is nestled at the back of 3.25 acres of oak, cedar, hickory, and pine filled woods; strategically placed for optimal views of the creeks which nearly surround it. The creeks, just feet off of the back deck, offer a soothing sound as they run in the winter. In early summer, they dry up to reveal a gorgeous slate slab bottom and countless opportunities for exploring or rock collecting.

The property has multiple parking areas with plenty of room to accommodate cars, boats, and motorcycles. Between the large front porch and the HUGE back deck, the house has over 1000 square foot of deck space. The back deck has an outdoor gas fireplace next to a 6 seat hot tub, an outdoor dining area, chase lounges for sun bathing, gas grill, and access to a campfire pit.

Brooks' Creek is entered through arch-top mahogany French doors. You will feel like you have been taken back in time when you notice the reclaimed wide-plank, long-leaf pine flooring throughout the cabin. Overhead, the kitchen ceiling features hand-hewn oak beams salvaged from a barn which was built in the 1800s. Be sure to take advantage of the concierge service, and Creative Escapes will do your shopping for you! Provide us a list of any groceries, fresh flowers, etc.; and Brooks' creek will be stocked when you arrive. You will be glad you did when you see the gourmet kitchen. The custom knotty alder cabinets, stainless steel appliances (include a Jenn-Aire gas cooktop range), 3 foot wide porcelain farm sink, and oak butcher-block counter tops will make you want to do some cooking!

From the time you enter, your eyes a drawn to the windows at the back of the open space which reach from the floor to the 26 foot tall peak of the ceiling. A large antler chandelier hangs from one of the cedar beams that accent the vaulted ceiling. The living room's comfortable furnishings will make you want to kick your feet up and enjoy a movie on the 46 inch, internet-ready flat screen TV which offers free Netflix access. The cabin has a state-of-the-art audio system with a wall mounted touch screen panel displaying the local weather forecast and controlling an iPod docking station or internet radio on indoor and/or outdoor speakers.

Matching master suites flank the great room. The bedrooms feature corner Jacuzzi tubs, king size beds, large windows, and French doors leading to the back deck. The two elegant master bathrooms have LARGE walk-in showers with floor-to-ceiling custom tile and rain shower heads.

The jewel of the cabin is the rustic staircase which was built by local artisan Tommy Allen and John Bivings. The work of art seamlessly combines barn beams, reclaimed pine, red oak, cedar, and wrought-iron to lead guests up to the loft.

The upstairs loft overlooks the living room and offers the best views of the house. The loft comfortably sleeps 4 on a queen size bed and a twin daybed with a pull out trundle. This room also serves as a game room with a full-size air hockey table and a 32 inch flat-screen TV. Kids (or adults) can bring their gaming systems which will easily hook up to the convenient in wall connections. With all the amenities upstairs, it is hard to believe that there is still floor space to accommodate a queen size air mattress.
